2 9689/51/O/N/17 © UCLES 2017 Translate into Tamil: I live in a remote mountain village with my family. Our village may be small but it has a successful school, a post office and an ancient temple. It also has many green fields where I often play games with my friends. One day we received a letter from my uncle who lives in the city, inviting us to his daughter’s wedding. We were all very excited about it and started counting the days to the big event. My parents made all the necessary preparations: they booked the train tickets, packed all our best clothes and bought presents for my relatives. When we reached our destination, my uncle came to welcome us at the station and drove us home in his spacious new car. Everyone was delighted to see us and we started chatting enthusiastically. The wedding reception took place in a luxurious hotel. We ate a lot of delicious food and joined in many traditional dances. After the wedding my uncle took us on a tour of the city.
