It shows the basis on which Examiners were instructed to award marks. It does not indicate the details of the discussions that took place at an Examiners’ meeting before marking began, which would have considered the acceptability of alternative answers. Mark schemes should be read in conjunction with the question paper and the Principal Examiner Report for Teachers. Cambridge International will not enter into discussions about these mark schemes. Cambridge International is publishing the mark schemes for the May/June 2018 series for most Cambridge IGCSE™, Cambridge International A and AS Level and Cambridge Pre-U components, and some Cambridge O Level components.

They should be applied alongside the specific content of the mark scheme or generic level descriptors for a question. Each question paper and mark scheme will also comply with these marking principles. GENERIC MARKING PRINCIPLE 1: Marks must be awarded in line with: • the specific content of the mark scheme or the generic level descriptors for the question • the specific skills defined in the mark scheme or in the generic level descriptors for the question • the standard of response required by a candidate as exemplified by the standardisation scripts. GENERIC MARKING PRINCIPLE 2: Marks awarded are always whole marks (not half marks, or other fractions). GENERIC MARKING PRINCIPLE 3: Marks must be awarded positively: • marks are awarded for correct/valid answers, as defined in the mark scheme. However, credit is given for valid answers which go beyond the scope of the syllabus and mark scheme, referring to your Team Leader as appropriate • marks are awarded when candidates clearly demonstrate what they know and can do • marks are not deducted for errors • marks are not deducted for omissions • answers should only be judged on the quality of spelling, punctuation and grammar when these features are specifically assessed by the question as indicated by the mark scheme. The meaning, however, should be unambiguous. GENERIC MARKING PRINCIPLE 4: Rules must be applied consistently e.g. in situations where candidates have not followed instructions or in the application of generic level descriptors. GENERIC MARKING PRINCIPLE 5: Marks should be awarded using the full range of marks defined in the mark scheme for the question (however; the use of the full mark range may be limited according to the quality of the candidate responses seen). GENERIC MARKING PRINCIPLE 6: Marks awarded are based solely on the requirements as defined in the mark scheme. Marks should not be awarded with grade thresholds or grade descriptors in mind.

Question Answer Marks 2 묘사와 서술 묘사 : 주어진 주제를 자신만의 느낌과 표현으로 생생하게 전달할 수 있어야 한다. 다양한 감각으로 묘사할 때 단지 시청각, 후각, 미각, 촉각의 순서를 따라 비유를 나열하기보다 상황에 맞는 비유를 적절히 구사할 수 있어야 한다. 너무 많은 비유의 나열이나 식상한 표현보다는 주어진 주제와 관련한 ‘자신만의 느낌’을 참신한 표현으로 나타낼 수 있어야 한다. 묘사 글이라도 전체의 글은 짜임새 있게 전개되어야 하며 글에 감동이 있어야 한다.. 서술 : 주어진 주제로 이야기를 구성하는 문제. 짧은 분량 속에 장황하게 이야기를 전개하기보다 이야기의 절정이나 위기 장면을 통해 주제를 효과적으로 드러낼 수 있어야 한다. 단순히 대화문을 나열하기보다는 상황에 대한 서술 중심으로 적절한 대화문을 활용할 수 있어야 한다. 줄거리 전개는 논리적이고 개연성이 있어야 하며 창의적으로 이야기 구성을 할 수 있어야 한다. 이야기 전개에 맞는 효과적인 문체와 언어구사력 등도 고려한다.
