2 9687/05/O/N/23 © UCLES 2023 Translate into Hindi: When people say that time flies, they often mean that they have been so engaged in an activity that they have not looked at their watch or phone for a while. They are talking, of course, about their own personal experience of time. The same number of hours may have passed very slowly for someone else. This emphasises the difference between time shown on the clock and our individual reactions to time. We often forget that it was humans who developed ways to measure time, with the intention of making daily life easier. This allows us to arrange meetings, estimate how long a journey will take or express how old we are. The problem comes when we think that time rules us rather than the other way round. If we do not manage time well by planning each day, we can feel too busy and that causes stress. We then realise the importance of including periods of leisure in our schedules. Each person must find their own way to achieve a balance between all the different aspects of their life to be happy and healthy. [40] … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … …
