Write your Centre number, candidate number and name on all the work you hand in. Write in dark blue or black pen. Do not use staples, paper clips, glue or correction fluid. Answer one question in German. Dictionaries are not permitted. You should write between 250 and 400 words. At the end of the examination, fasten all your work securely together. Your essay will be marked out of 40 with 24 marks for Quality of Language and 16 marks for Content. It shows the basis on which Examiners were instructed to award marks.
